BRITISH DRESSAGE 2012  (BD) - RULES FOR COMPETITIONS RUN UNDER BD CONDITIONS

The following covers Intro, Prelim, Novice, Elementary,Medium and Advanced Medium tests.

Note! *Whips and Commanders are not allowed in Finals, Championships or at the Selectors request. A flash or drop noseband may be used in conjunction with a snaffle only, a double bridle requires a cavesson noseband. 

Correct Tack

A correctly fitted cavesson, drop or flash noseband must be worn with a snaffle bridle.
A correctly fitted cavesson noseband must be worn with a double bridle.
Neck straps are permitted at: Intro, Prelim, 4 year old Young Horse classes and in Young Horse classes where horses are ridden in groups. 
(Neck straps are permitted at any level in the warm up arena)
Breast plates
Balance Straps
Fly Fringes, gauzes and ear covers - used outdoors only, solely to protect from flies and insects.  They are NOT allowed indoors. 
Anti fly impregnated browbands and fly repellent discs are permitted
